APPROVAL OF THE NEW JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE FLOATING MANAGER, FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES

Description

We are requesting the elimination of the Buyer/Quality Control Manager.  The responsibilities of the position have been reduced significantly since the department joined the Power Buying Group.  Because the job no longer warrants a full time position, it makes more sense to add the job duties of the Buyer/Quality control Manager to a current Area Supervisor's position and use those labor hours to better serve the needs of our operation in the Floating Manager position.  The addition of a Floating Manager position will provide greater assistance to the school sites by providing on-site technical assistance, training and customer service.  This change is a shift of responsibilities, it does not result in the addition of any positions in the department, and provides greater assistance and coverage at the school level.



Recommendation

That the School Board approve the revised job description for the Floating Manager, Food and Nutrition Services as presented.
